Would any of you jet Squirt builders chime in and let me know what kind of steering and throttle systems you used? I have lots of parts, including the steering system from the Kawasaki jetski; but don't know if I can incorporate it through the dash with a steering wheel. It might be more work than it would be worth. Has anyone used the Teleflex system?
I'm also mounting the pump behind the transom and would like some suggestions on a reverse gate. I can still configure the mounting box in any shape to accommodate a gate.

I used the teleflex system for steering coupled to the seadoo cable. At the motor end of the teleflex cable I had to "engineer" a way to couple it to the Seadoo cable. I am out of town so I can't take pictures for you. So far it has worked flawlessly.

I used the Seadoo throttle cable coupled to a side-mount throttle lever I bought on ebay. Again, sorry I don't have a picture for you right now. The only issue is that it does not have a throttle stop so I can't slam the throttle to full. I ease it to full sensing when it is getting to full throttle. I might change this but it is working well so far.

I wanted to have the look of a "real boat" without using Seadoo Controls so it does take some enginuity to get the two to work together. But if you can figure out how to put a jet in an outboard design, you can figure this out also.

Good Luck,

KB
