I saw Bright moonlit nights. A growing moon. Warm enough to sleep in tents and also warm at least in the 60's at night for night Cat fishing.
Good post Bill.
I wonder what the forecast was for the Winter gathering we had for G-3.

Thinking about this recently, this is a La Nina year.
When she moves close to the West coast of North America it frequently brings warmer wet weather to the South East later in the season.
The Knucks and AK get blasted with cold dry air. Lots of upper atmosphere crackeling.
The Jet stream moves Northwards and the winds are often unpredictable.

With all that we should still have warmer weather than the Alabama Glacier Show.

would love to go catfishing with some local knowledge!!!In Lake Simcoe (Ontario Canada) we got these 3 pound mud cats that put up a great fight and are fun to fish but I hear that there are the big giants that haunt the Tennesse waters. Should I bring my packet of Daryl Cronzy's Fish batter mix or should we eat as the locals do.???

3 lb'ers? Heck, here in Oklahoma that's bait for the 50+ lb'ers. If you're dumb enough you even go noodlin' for 'em. One of these days I might even try paddle fish...that's one fish in my neck of the woods that's measured in feet, not lbs. Don't really care for catfish myself...I'm more of a trout man (dry flies and all). The lower Illinois river is a good place here for some good size trout.

Yep, I'm a thread wrecker!

Mark, never mind Bill, He's from OK ya know! :(
Yes, bring that special batter. We'll give it a test drive. I've used lots of different stuff with limited success.

My thoughts were to get some of the boys and whoever else to try the Cats right there by the camp.
At night I was going to put out a Trot line.
Have the boys do the doing, as I rowed them and showed them. We'll need a bigger boat if lots of guys come along but its fun for the learning and we might get a fish fry out of it.

The forecast high temps are a little lower today than I saw forecast a few days ago.

92 thurs, 90 fri, 86 sat & slight chance of precip. 83 sun. Nightly lows in the mid 60's.

I dont think Bruce will be the only one showing some leg this year.

Do the floating cabins have a/c?
