Amazing isnt it?
You tend not to notice what you have until some else points it out!
I used to swim and hang out at Awoonga Dam nearly every weekend growing up...and now i have moved away from that area i forgot how amazing it is!
It is quite a large body of water and is currently at max capacity.. lots of creeks that run off main dam to check out also...
Just not sure if the barra fishermen would like us scaring off the barra!

I have been looking around the northern NSW for somewhere... i think that it would be a little more central for most... check out the Great Lakes Vette..
I know this is a little premature but hopefully if we all keep looking we might find the perfect spot...
you know with cabins on the water...with private berths...never know...

Hi guys,
David here from Yass (just north of Canberra) I am building a Renegade and should be finished summer 2011-2012 although it is a bit hard when you work for 5 1/2 days a week and then 1 day a week for the missus. Probably northern NSW would be a good spot only because it seems to be central to everyone and NSW has big dams. Salt water might not be a good idea for some boats but then some boats might not be trailable. oh the dilemas of life. Anyway all I want to do is look at boats ski then have a beer or three at night.
There is also Ben who is building a renegade in Brisbane.
It's good to see so many builders in Australia.
Cheers
David

Thanks David, how long have you been building? yes, One day a week strings it out.

I am putting together a bit of a log of Australian builders so thanks for your info.

Any other Aussie unknowns out there ? give us a yell.

I'm over the ditch to West NZ quite often, and would love to catch up with other builders. Add me to the list of attendees.

I'm about to start building a Monaco.

Hi Keith, consider yourself "on" I wouldn't mind contact details of all Aussie and New Zealand Glen-l builders so feel free to PM me your details. Pretty essential I think if we are, one day, going to organize a Liquid Horsepower weekend. Or even for like-minded contact when we travel.

Keep us up to speed on your build Keith, maybe a Customer Photos page or even on the Forum. It would be nice to see another "Down under" Monaco on the list.

This is Great! You're at the point where somebody just has to say, "This is it. I'm going to ... on ... weekend. Hope to see you." That is how we started. Then everybody just took it on themselves to make reservations.

Should this topic not get elevated to the same level as the US gatherings, eg directly under "odds and ends". I only found it by accident, and it might attract more attention if it was at the same level, and hence bring more past / current / future builders out of the woodwork.
