I went to pick up some parts for the Squirt today at my local marina. He has been impressed with the pics of the boat and I mentioned that I might like to do some custom work for people who would like a classic style design. I said that if I wanted to build anything much bigger I would need to put an addition on my garage. He said that he would GIVE me two bays to work in, including knocking out a wall and then filling the shop with all the woodworking tools I need and don't already have. Right now he has a 24 foot cruiser stored on one of the bays with lots of room to spare. I asked him how much he would want for the space and he told me to just get my first one built and we'll see how it goes. What he will get out of it is a markup on engines and other things that go into the boat, which of course will be included in the final price. :D
He said we can make a good profit on all the toys and gadgets the customer wants.

I'm in Upstate NY in the Mohawk Valley. I'm currently in the process of applying for a MIC from the Coast Guard

Not sure where Mohawk Valley is. Use to live in Massena and camped by Saranac alot when younger. Loved the area, but winters very long.

Nine months of winter and 12 weeks of really bad sledding. Two of my children went to Clarkson. I'll give you a hint on the Mohawk Valley "Low bridge everybody down, low bridge for we're coming to a town." Sixteen miles on the ____Canal. :D
