I finally got a break in the weather this week and it was warm enough to measure and cut the planking for my cockpit floor. I cut the pieces in the garage and brought them into the basement to assemble and epoxy. The oak is a little heavier than plywood; but looks a lot nicer.

Today I went out and cut the side frames for my engine hatch and the pieces for the seat frame.
Another day today in the 40s. I rough cut the fore, center and aft deck pieces and set the flooring and fuel tank. Still need to epoxy and finish the cockpit floor. I set the deck pieces in place just to make it look like I actually accomplished something.

Ok, trying to figure out what you have powering your Squirt.

What do you have tucked in there?

I think it's because it's only 11 feet long. That is small you know.
Besides, it was originally designed to be an outboard. Can I help it if I wanted the propulsion to match the name of the boat? It is a SQUIRT!! :P
You want I should move over to the Power Boat site already? I could always put a sail on it and claim the engine is just an auxiliary.
It's a Kawasaki 550 under the hatch. I couldn't fit a 460 Ford in there.

I don't know how this slipped through the cracks but, the reason why: New category for Jet- Ski- Powered Boats was created in 07 for Squirts, TNT's, Dynojet's and all ----we have our own slot under the Design category so all this info doesn't get lost under other topics.
