Update on the li'l Squirt

I finally had another day warm enough to at least cut some deck pieces. In the process I found some flaws in my paint and had to do some sanding. Now we're expecting 6 to 10 inches of snow again tonight. So much for making any real progress. And it's still too cold to epoxy.

That's a great looking boat! Since the first time I ever read about a Jet Squirt, I knew I'd rather have that over a Sea Doo, or Jet Ski or Wave Runner. I sure hope someone brings one to G5.

The trailer is a Gator and much too big for the Squirt; but it will sit there until I get another one for the launch. We had to move the boat back a few feet because it was a little tongue heavy for an old lady.

The engine was sitting ahead of the axle.
The jet idea came because my son has friends with a camp by a shallow water lake and all they have are jet skis. So, this started as a project for him along with the Minimax. I'm hoping it comes out really nice so I can show it off and get some boat orders. I'm tired of working for other people. There are still lots of people around who are just too afraid to pick up a saw or even a screwdriver. :lol:

There will always be homes for the outboards, except maybe the Eskas. Maybe someone will want a Sissy Do or something.

I have one 85 on my Larson the 35 Lark on my Whitehouse and the 18 or 10 can go on the Minimax. I still have a Glasspar Citation in the yard; but I tink it may be too far gone to restore. It may be time to strip it and scrap it. Does anyone need a used windshield?

If it turns out as good as some of the boats I've seen here I should be busy for years building boats for people here in NY who can't, or won't build their own.

With the weather a little warmer I've been able to do a few things the last week or two. I had to pay my taxes so I have to wait until the beginning of May to buy any more goodies. Last week I drilled and fit the guages

I don't know how this slipped through the cracks but, the reason why: New category for Jet- Ski- Powered Boats was created in 07 for Squirts, TNT's, Dynojet's and all ----we have our own slot under the Design category so all this info doesn't get lost under other topics.
