Hi all ! This is my first post on this forum.
I like many of you was intimidated by the thought of building a boat.
I started on my sea knight in the fall of 1991, in the fall of 1995 she was launched! i have had many great years with (my baby). and is still in use today! I cannot tell you the amount of pleasure i've gotten over the years. it seemed at times that it was an impossible task to complete her. but i just got into the mindset of setting small goals for the day. and eventually it all came together! I cannot begin to tell you the amount of pride i get (although it does get tiring at times) when people ask me what year is that boat? and they are astounded that it was home made! Ive never been a whiz with woodworking, but now with all the compliments from other boat enthusiasts i feel like one!I have also built (from Dynamite Paysons build instant boats (rip Dynamite) 2 skimmers and one canoe.

Fantastic.

Now tell us, does it look bigger right side up?

I would say it looks alot bigger right side up! Until (like someone else already said) you splash it! then it shrinks no matter what the water temp. but i can tell you it has great stability in rough water. ive buried the bow until water broke over the windshield and i popped up like a cork. (i dont recommend this action) in the 16 years ive bee fortunate enough to be using her, ive no complaints :D

Wow, 102! It was only in the low 90s on my side of town. It's looking good. I sure hope I get to see it and ride in it since you are in GA.

We were up in Hiawassee at Lake Chatuge over the weekend. We had some violent storms on Sun and Mon. The temps dropped to about 72 after the storms and Mon night went down to 52. At home in Hamilton Mill today and it was low 90s and miserable...again.
