Number One Tool

After looking at all the post, in my opinion, the # 1 tool in a boat building shop should be a good set of tweesers (for extracting splinters out of your fingers ) Of course a good antibiotic ointment is needed to complete this set.

I thought everyone had the standard tool, the Swiss Army knife that came standard with the right sized tweezers. You can also buy them seperately too. The woman's eye brow picker does not work. :wink:

if you ever get those tiny splinters that you can't dig out with the Swiss Army knife tweezers here's a trick that works pretty good. Use some plain old wood glue and spread it around on the finger where the splinter is and let it dry. Once dry peel the glue and the splinter will come out with it

My skin is so bloody thick (and dry) that only those big-nasty suckers get past the outter layer... but I still get dozens of tiny little ones that get stuck in my outter skin then break off so there is nothing to grab with tweezers.

For those I use nail clippers to kinda 'dig' them out, if I cannot scrape them with my finger nail first.

I just looked at my hands right now... 3 little slivers from last night that made it past inspection.

A good old stick pin works as well.

I use the nail clippers too, I keep a pair in my toolbox just for that reason

Hey Leackcheck maybe if you built something with all them new tools you could pull splinters out with tweezers, nail clippers or glue too. Only reason you have a spoon is cause you're filling you pie hole with ice cream instead of working on something :lol:

NO, you guys really don't understand Wyoming yet....I used to drink Smithwicks ("smitiks")...they stopped selling it in the Lander area, so I went on to Michelob Lager (the old original Michelob)...NOW they have stopped selling that in the Lander area...(I have to drive to Casper and buy it in the five case lots)....I switch )for now) to Killians red...probably won't discontinue that for a couple of weeks! :roll:
