These photos, taken of the boat's interior while still on the building form shows the "T" sections added to the battens between the transom and Frame 2. Dad recollected that the Zip he built in 1956 experienced a lot of flex in this area and we thought that should be minimized. The weight gain was negligible, but the stiffness added is substantial.
