The aft cabin has been covered with a canvas roof. That is simply canvas stretched very tight to provide a roof. It repels the sun quite well. No doubt the Captains quarters are in the aft cabin, it's interior is all of Mahogany. The smaller cabin on the main deck holds a few bunks and a sink, likely for some crew.
