Outfitting your Inboard Boat

It’s at this time that we get many calls from folks asking for help with choosing hardware for their inboards. I thought it would be helpful to go over some of the parts needed. The Basics Needed to Build a Boat

Sometimes it helps to go back to the basics whether it’s with marketing a business or building a boat.

We’re working on making our online store a bit easier to navigate and will be adding links on the design pages to Customer Photos & Project Registries among other changes. And, we’d like to add a section for each design that lists what you need to get started since we get a lot of questions about this.

Rudy Did It

?Rudy Heckman was 40 years old when he immigrated to the United States from a little town in Germany. Although he spoke no English, he was able to find work at a machine shop on Terminal Island, the port for Los Angeles.

As he drove to work each morning he crossed a bridge where numerous boats were nested in slips. Rudy was especially enamored with the tall masts of the cruising sailboats. Thoughts turned to dreams of sailing the ocean…
