- Hull type: Semi-displacement twin pontoons with deck unit. Developed for 1/4" and
3/8" sheet plywood planking, 5/8" for deck. All members framed in
solid wood.
- Power: Most practical with single outboard centrally mounted.
Anti-cavitation deflector to be installed under deck unit forward of motors
(details for construction provided). Horsepower should not exceed
recommendations. Twin outboards may be used, preferably with outboard transom
mounting brackets aft of each pontoon, with sufficient bracing provided on the
transom (details not included). Long shaft motors recommended.
- Can the hull be extended or shortened? No, not beyond the range listed. The
same set of plans details all sizes. We do not recommend increasing the
beam.
- Trailer: Designed for use with Glen-L HUCK FINN boat trailer plans.
Note: The HUCK FINN Plans & Patterns do not include the plans
for the "Sportscraft" or "Huck Finn Cabins". These units
must be ordered separately.
