Re: Interesting Boats & Stuff on Kentucky Lake
That first one in a fine downeaster. Perhaps San Juan or Palm Beach. Trunk lines are completely different from Hinckley. Either way a very fine vessel.

Re: New Member Frank
Welcome, Although I havent even started a build yet, I got some good pointers from the guys here, and from you tube. There is a sailboat build called "frosty Morn" that has three good videos and bright sides. The builder really show how to layout the sides in the 2nd video. Wish I could be more help...

Re: zip on Orlando craigslist
Saw this a couple of weeks ago, listed for $175. thought about going down to get it, now I see the price has gone up. Would be a good project for someone even at that price, Just would cost me double to go get it from here.

Re: Wild Weather on Lake Michigan today
Notice how flat the water is, It has been dead calm all summer, I took my 22' plastic fantastic runabout on a 600 mile round trip on Lake Michigan this month. Couldn't have asked for better weather. But just wondering where this came from? Interesting!

Re: Potluck with hamilton jet
Thanks for your reply Thudpucker, my whole intent here with the jet was to emulate the Hinckley picnic boat, but upon my research, the Hinckley is a whole beast upon itself, therefore I cannot cheat another design close enough to it. So back to the dream boat and try to find something that I will li...

Re: Potluck with hamilton jet
Thanks Kevin, Upon my research, the Hinckley is a hard chine v hull, not even classified as a downeast/lobster boat. Thanks again for your knowledge, I'm glad that these forums are able to afford such. - Scott T

Re: Potluck with hamilton jet
Thanks Kevin, I do appreciate the input, was just trying to see if this hull could be modified or not, still like the lines, from my reading, jets are more costly, but I was trying to cheat, and would have a bow thruster installed as well. I do believe the Hinckley is more of a monohedron hull. I wi...

Potluck with hamilton jet
Really interested in Potluck design, was just wondering if this design could be fitted with a hamilton jet pump, I don't know if the keel can be removed/reduced, and also if the motor could be moved aft. Inspired by Hinckley picnic boat design. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Scott T
