Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Wow Neel, looks nice. Looks like you are transmission limited with the 71c/383. Y'know with all the modern stuff, like factory roller cam, vortec heads, aluminum heads, etc. 1Hp/cu. in. is actually realistic. That would be 383HP. C'mon Neel, drop the other shoe, get a 72c and let the 383 Breathe !!!...

Re: Who is coming and where?

well, I wouldn't wait on your State, you can drive it around and we won't say anything........
see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing......
We would love to see it in person anyways
No need for State permission to come party !!

Re: Engine/Transmission For A Crackerbox Build?

If you like Fords, then use a Ford. The boat won't care.
Several builders have put a 1:1 VelvetDrive in a crackerbox. Its doable.
Have you looked at this pages?? scroll down to crackerbox

My go-to sanding filler is West 410 thickened epoxy.
but not for natural bright finish, it is for painted areas only

Re: Embedded bolt fasteners in wood , bolt threads

I couldn't resist doing some kind of stress test, because I am putting pure tension on the face ply of plywood. I put one 1/4" bolt into a 2" x 4" (8 sq. in.) mahog block bonded to 3/4" ply. Without any scales to measure with, I connected to a whole engine (about 800lbs), and picked it up. The ply b...

Show me your Seat Backs

Please show how you did your seats back installation, removeable for access backs, and seat bottoms. I'm installing a beam width fuel tank across the transom, and desire a full width bench seat to hide it, and have beam width rod storage under. the bottom should be in 3 parts, port, stbd, center. th...
