Re: TNT and potential to porpoise

Sorry, I don't understand your question: "I have noticed that a good percentage of them look as if they are in the porpoise position when they are idle in the water and most are porpoise when running." what is porpoise at idle? I looked quickly at TNTs on youtoob and didnt really see any porpoising....

Thats cool, I got my floor boards up right now, and need to do that.
The recent posts about foam blocks should be a sticky topic.

How much you guys spending on Topsides topcoat??

How much you guys spending on your topsides paint? I am refinishing Double Eagle, and I always preferred spray painting. I put together a laundry list of everything I needd, sandpaper, primer, top paint, masking tape, paper, solvent, the whole works, and the price for a pallet full of stuff scared m...

Re: WithDrew's Ski King

this is just thinking out loud, but these guys do a lot of exhaust fabrication, see how much twist/turns/snail curves they get by using mandrel bent tubing. yaa it is diesels, but perhaps you may take ideas downsize for the little ford, https://www.sbmar.com/featured-article/everything-you-need-to-k...

Re: White Oak for Belle Isle

Oak is not as tenacious at holding epoxy as some others. then you have to pre-drill for screws, then, if you break off a screw,,,you are screwed. Oak is so dense that epoxy pretty much sits on top and glues only a shallow bit on the surface, not a really DEEP bond. Cypress on the other hand, is a so...

Re: WithDrew's Ski King

Quite interesting that there is 3 possible exits. Are they interchangeable left/right depending which end you put the cap on? That is such a low installation, I don't see anything to talk about, the risers in my opinion is a must. It's just a matter of how. Osco had several flavors of generic risers...

Re: WithDrew's Ski King

I see it differently. You do not raise the engine up to compensate for a lack of a exhaust riser. What you gonna do with the shaft angle & CG at that point? The OP did mention about fabricating his own exhaust, so I would assume he could possibly fab a good riser. All those youtube videos did not ad...

Re: WithDrew's Ski King

Definitely need more pics of that.
All the log style manifolds I have seen have one end plate tapped for water INLET, and the water exits out the elbow/riser.
Need pics to determine if that is a dry stack or wet exhaust.
Either way, you need the elbows for that
