Make sure to get the solvent base, as they also have acrylic.

Re: 20ft Texas Barrel

Thanks for clarifying Bill. I guess that makes for a universal fit for all slot widths. The glass shop that cuts your new glass will have the u shape channel that will fit your brackets.

Re: 20ft Texas Barrel

Matt-
As Bill's link above shows, the U shaped rubber insulates the glass from the metal bracket, but also be sure that the glass doesn't contact the top of the outer bracket where the slot stops.
Good to see another beautiful Barrelback on the water!

Re: Mating Engine to Mercrusier problem

Here is a link to the Sierra couplers for the mercruiser engines. One of these will match up to your outdrive. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rra-18-2171?seid=srese1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIj9fj9-Lf8AIVm21vBB2YBwRXEAQYAiABEgLPyvD_BwE Would be worth calling them to insure proper fit as there are quite ...

Re: RowMe

Sounds like the perfect temp to do some epoxy work. Hope you can find enough PPE for your proposed work. Around NH it is more scarce than toilet paper was.

Re: Deck planking and gap

I went with 3/16. GarWood ran that on theirs. What you often see are deck seams that have been reamed out over the years of recaulking so you can do that too. Probably easier wider if you are using contrasting wood stripes Wish to correct myself on this one and add a vote for Jim’s 1/8” width for th...

Tom-
Nice work on the construction and finish!
Yes that is the process with the Perfection if you want that elusive glass like finish. Definitely want at least 3 coats of finish on there when all done buffing. Surely is beautiful!

Re: 23’ Belle Isle “hooking”

Billy C Do you run a central fin? I put one on it. I haven't put a fin on it as Hankinson did not include it in his lines, but many of Hankinsons classics did call for one. (All the ski boats do run them (some multiple) and our V to flat running surface when on plane would certainly help stop the w...

Re: 23’ Belle Isle “hooking”

HV- Thanks for the update. I was interested in some of the answers and glad you are at least being cautious of the current limitations of the hull. I am sure if you went balls to the walls with the throttle you would most likely find what you suspect that that engine would exceed the potential top s...

Re: 23’ Belle Isle “hooking”

Not that the rudder is the problem (or the only one), but depending on rudder shape, that sounds large for that narrow lightweight hull. You might be getting lift, loosening the stern, especially if you don't have a full fuel tank or passengers in the 3rd cockpit. Someone experienced with inboard bo...
