Bilge blower hose clips

I want to secure my bilge blower hose so it doesn't just flop around in my engine compartment. Any ideas?

Re: Limbers

On my barrelback, I cut limbers on all frames so that water could drain back on each side to the transom. I also cut across at the transom so that the water could drain down to the keel. I would not cut any drains across the keel forward of the transom. Most builders have a drain on each side of the...

Re: Neeley's Barrelback - Sacramento

I will put a tray under it. The stock mercruser filter was positioned the same way. I have read that when you break the seal, the oil will drain back. We will see. Plenty of room for a tray just in case.

Re: Building The Vera Cruise

Carl it took me about an hour by myself. It was easier than I thought it would be. I used a longer piece of plywood on top of the hft cross piece. I also had blocks that I used just in case something slipped. All plywood was covered with carpet. I moved the trailer under the raised boat with the tra...

Re: Building The Vera Cruise

Getting the boat onto the trailer: I got the boat off the dolly and onto the trailer as follows: First I jacked up the boat off of the dolly and then slid the dolly forward to remove from under the boat. I started lifting at the transom, and slowly raising all jacks. I had to move the bottle jacks b...

Re: Building The Vera Cruise

Hi Carl, Here's my take on trailers. I would start with getting glen-l plans for the trailer designed for your boat. That should give you a rough idea as to what you should need. I couldn't find any used trailers so I had to get one custom built. It has all of the new stuff, torsion bars instead of ...

starter cable suggestions

I am getting ready to run a cable from the battery to the starter motor. I will also run a negative cable from the battery to the engine block. What do you all suggest? I have seen ancor marine cable in both 2 gauge & 4 gauge. Is 4 gauge heavy enough? Looks like I need to go 4 to 5 feet from the bat...

The red rubber end cap for the hose clamp on the water pickup hose is brilliant. Im always snagging myself on them.

Re: Neeley's Barrelback - Sacramento

I got my boat back yesterday from Northwest Classic Boats for final mounting of the engine, getting a prop shaft, and proper alignment. They did a perfect job. Today I installed the exhaust lines and mufflers, waterlines, oil filter bypass, and hooked up and adjusted the shifter cable. Things are go...
