Your question regarding shaft log requirement. My plans call for a 13.75 (say 14) degree strut with the propshaft and motor at 12 deg.. My thinking was the strut is a 14 deg. from keel, the 12 deg. reference is motor and prop shaft from motor stringers.
Your planking looks good, your method and installation is very similar to what I have done on a Tahoe 23. It is nice to have gravity help.
