Re: Squirt Boat Cover

Quick follow up... The new boat cover is working out great. It is easy to put on and take off. Re: What should I have on board a small power boat?

The smallest is about $10 with a coupon and they go up from there in size and price. I have a basic set of tools (plyers, screwdriver...

Looks like an awesome adventure, thanks for "taking us along."

Let me know when you get near Detroit or Port Huron. If I'm around It would be nice to buy you a beer somewhere.

Re: Building The Vera Cruise

Hi Carl, Check out bestboatwire.com , they have a wire gauge calculator. You just need the length of the run and the amps. It will tell you the voltage drop for different gauge wire. They also have good prices on complete cables. I could not buy the wire, terminals, etc... for what they delivered a ...

Re: New to this - Which epoxy and how much (Pee Wee)

T-88 is basically the same as poxy-grip. I've used both with similar results.

System 3 Silver Tip is nice because it is "no blush" and can be recoated within 24 hours (double check the time?) without sanding. Good for encapsulating and filling weave in glass cloth.

Re: Yakima Riveria

The dark wood is done with stain or dyes. There have been a lot of discussion on this and there are a lot of ways to skin that cat. Same with using caulk, colored epoxy, or light wood between the planks. All have their advantages and disadvantages. I used epoxy and microballoons because I liked the ...
