If the plan is to have lots of kids onboard all the time while fishing then you might want to consider on of the center console boats. They are extremely vrsitile and I know from my expirience that kids need space to move around. Center console provodes all of that. If you will have "full load" in t...

try furniture scrapers. Mark Bronkalla wrote about them in one of the web letters. I used them couple of times and they do work pretty good.

I have seen that one before and it looks nice but the high freeboard makes it look so friggin HUGE!!!.
I will be using the boat only on the protected waters so it wouyld simply overkill. Besides that boat looks like a displacament rather than plaining hull. Speed Speed nedd more speed Scotty!!!

Ultimate fishing platform.

I'm in the process of building Glen'L Bass Boat. I'm not even half way thrugh but I'm already thinking about my next project. What I'm looking for would be the ultimate fishing platform . It would have to be very stable, fit on the trailer and have some minimal creature comforts. Boat large enough f...

Ray I have used PL "Premium Polyurethane Adhesive". You can buy it at home Depot, Lowe's etc. It's cheap and it does hold like crazy. You just can't use it to span gaps.

I'm not sure about what you have in your local HD but judging by the price it's more likely to be while pine, which might be good to trim the eves of your house but it's not suitable for boat building. Too soft, not resistant to rot etc. SYP is very hard , almost as hard as oak. If you can't tell by...

Novass this was covered on this forum before. Cloth is used to provide resistance to abrasion like when you use your boat to dredge the bottom of the lake :-). Cloth in itself does not increase resistance to the water. Epoxy will form the barrier between wood and water and proper paint( bitge or gar...

These days the transom tie downs are standard. You need to make sure though that the transom eyes can withstand not only the weight of the boat but also "tugging" when the trailer goes over the bumps. As to the lights... I'm on the second set in three years. First came with the trailer "submersible"...

buffing compound

I'm about to start painting my bass boat. That brings up a question:
What buffing compound to use and who is a good online supplier of the stuff in US?
Anyone?
BTW I'm using ArmorPoxy if that makes any difference.
Thanks.
