Thanks Carl. It makes some sense that the underwriters are strictly looking at risk based on prior experience... Just the same I’m glad there are still a few options out there for insuring amateur builds by people who share a passion for boating.

Thanks Bill. I have a quote from BoatUS for an agreed upon value. There is a 2% deductible on hull and equipment coverage and the premium is about 0.25% per year. System 3 Gel Magic is a great product for vertical or overhead bonding. The cartridge with mixing tip is quite a bit more expensive than buying in plastic containers...
