Re: Klondike Build

Billy, I think next week should be it... although still haven't heard more from transport folks re: CHP escort. The first 800' or so (gravel drive uphill) to pavement will be a challenge!

Re: Klondike Build

Thanks Alan... we're getting a chance to tie up some loose ends while we wait. At least the sanding is pretty much done!

Re: Klondike Build

The window for the move has been pushed back to 10/16... the cross country transport from Florida to San Diego for the truck we'll be using has been delayed due to snags in highway patrol escort across state lines. :?

Re: Aluminum Framing for Wooden Boat Hatch

Agree with Bill... 6061 T6 aluminum is the way to go. Light, easy to machine & weld, won't corrode. I would use 3M 5200 with stainless fasteners for any permanent bonding to (encapsulated) wood.

Re: Klondike Build

Hi Andy,

We're launching in Stockton (shortest distance) and will then drive down the San Joaquin through the Delta to our berth in Alameda. Still in a holding pattern for transport... will update when I get an ETA. We'd be pleased to have you visit.

Trust all is well with you...

Re: Klondike Build

Hi Matt, We've had a stay of execution... the truck is currently enroute from Florida hauling a boat to San Diego ($$$!) and will then head north to meet us in Catheys Valley. The transport folks gave us a new window October 6th to 8th so we're in a holding pattern. Actually not a bad thing to have ...

Check for impeller fragments downstream blocking the water flow.
