Re: A Dream

Wow I stopped in to see that boat a few years ago and he came to my house to see mine. I haven't heard from him for awhile and was wondering how close he was to finishing. Really sorry for your loss, I wish he could of finished his dream.

Re: Sissy Do Build

Thanks for all the kind comments. I sent all the paperwork in for the boat today and we will see what happens. Pennsylvania doesn’t seem to make it easy. Our plans were to just put the boat in the back of the truck but it’s a little heavier than I thought it would be so yesterday we got a trailer. I...

Re: Sissy Do Build

We dropped it in a friend’s pond and drove in circles for two hours. He didn’t stop smiling.

Re: Sissy Do Build

I talked to to state boat commission and they said maybe 120 days to ok the boat and register it. The electric only lakes may be out this summer but I got a few places we can go to catch fish so we’ll see what happens.

Re: Sissy Do Build

Bottom and boot stripe are painted. A few finishing touches and it’s ready to fish. He wanted to paint it the same as my boat so I got the light blue and I had black. I thought a little black in the light blue would turn it dark blue well I was wrong. It makes grey so grey bottom it is.

Re: Sissy Do Build

Sorry a little behind on posts. All that is left is for the outside to be painted. The weather is unusually cold and it has rained almost everyday for the last two weeks. This week looks better so hopefully we can finish up.

Re: Sissy Do Build

Noah is not an inside kid. Even in the winter he plays outside. Building this boat is just something for him to do outside instead of digging holes or tearing up my yard. I’m happy that he enjoys working with his hands instead of playing video games.

Re: Sissy Do Build

Today we got the inside primed and the first coat of paint done. Hopefully tomorrow we can get a coat of the grippy paint and another coat of regular paint then the inside will be done. 1DE8B67B-D4A3-4A6D-8224-342D89FCEDC1.jpeg BD7E4C0C-9DD2-4C9C-96D0-4972212F1196.jpeg 3DFDBB8B-3FB8-4642-83CE-6E6FAA...

Re: trailer dolly???

I pull my boat in and out of my garage every time I work on it. I put a ball on my tractor and when I hooked the boat to it the front end got real light and I couldn’t move it. The next thing I tried was a front hitch for my truck. That worked good but I had to back my truck into the neighbors yard ...

Re: Sissy Do Build

Every year I say this year but, I believe after almost a decade it could be finished by this fall. Maybe when Noah is done with his he can finish mine.
