Not many Cat builders here so my advice would be to follow the designer's plan.

Re: Overniter in SC

I think there might be a reverse from what you are thinking. the sheer nearest to keel in photo might be the main. the one closer to the floor ( ie where you are building) is the sheer that is added after planking. Just read your last post. Bill the Bartender qualifies as a masterpiece you have exhibited the skill and quality examplifed by most builders here, the Porch is for arm chair builders who discuss but have yet to get started.

Re: Making progress on my Monaco.

Those joints look superb. Like Bill said, not to hijack this thread but all I had when I started was Barry and what is now
the Archives and no build pics of the boat I was building. It is a delightful to see all the expertise here on this forum and all the great boats being built :)

Did not have any problems with frearson bits nor SB screws, pre drilled going into white oak. I think I have at least 80lbs of screws in my boat. :)

Re: 15' Ski-Tow: Bending chines & sheers into place

Durability 4 years and about 300 hours tr...

I must say that I am always in a contest with the docks in fact most of the repairs to my boat were on account of the docks winning. I am definately getting better with one prop it seems I am a...
