Hi Carl, on the fibreglass run about we have , the anchor hatch has a piece cut out on the front which is for lifting the hatch also used for the anchor rope to pass through when using the anchor .I would use a hinge on the hatch to save making another hatch when it blows of when towing .

I am building the Renegade ,and it said 1/2" ply for the bottom and 2 pieces of 1/4" for the font as 1/2" will not bend without cracking . I could only get 8'x4' sheets which I scarfed joined . The front section was 1/4" put on then the next 1/4" laminated with epoxy to the first sheet.

Good luck with your flip Carl, will be thinking of you .I did not get to see my flip . I had the boat on two block and tackle's . One each end, the boat was suspended half way between the floor and roof when the phone rang. Went and answered it came back and the hull had turned it self .6" clearance...

Great paint job Bob . I can relate to the painting and sanding , on my boat I used Aquacoat which is polyurathane paint which is water base and you add a cross linker to it and when you have finished , the left over you pour back into the tin . The paint goes really hard after a week and any sanding...

Hi Fairdinkum . I have a 95 model 350 chev that I,ve put in my renegade build and had much the same issue with the same bolts and bought a new set from Eagleautoparts. Any speed shop will have the bolts.

Welcome Grant. I am building a Renegade, live outer Brisbane .I used recycled hoop pine for the frames which I dowel joined and gusseted as well .Tony Hain at Tiaro in Qld is building a Tahoe.

Hi Cranky . If you read the original spec's on the Malahini it say's upto a 85 hp outboard short shaft or a long shaft with a modified transom . love your build
