Re: MI Malahini Build, Post Flip.

Last year, the last thing I did before I put her in, was I rolled on one last coat of interlux on the sides. Another fail. It turned out textured with bubbles. So, I sanded it out nice and smooth and applied another coat with a foam roller, then went over it with a soft brush to smooth out the bubbl...

You never have enough storage space. Good idea on that too. Glad to see your still here and sharing your upgrades ...

Re: Otter's Ski Bass

I say don’t rush it. Do one section at a time, make sure it’s perfect. Let it at least set up before you start trying the next section. If you get frays or clumps on the edges, you want to sand them out before you lay the next layer over it. Let me echo; round your corners, just enough to to keep yo...

Re: MI Malahini Build, Post Flip.

Re: MI Malahini Build, Post Flip.

For those who followed my Cutwater build (pg.12), this is a follow up. I finally pulled my Cutwater back off since I welded it and and exposed my worst fears. Although I tried my hardest to weld fast and in short beads, I burned through; three finish coats, two epoxy coats, two coats brown epoxy pai...

Re: modified malahini

Sure, you can paint plastic. Krylon makes a spray paint specifically for plastic. Used it many times with good results. Just be sure to scuff sand it.

Re: Malahini from MD

I’m really sorry to hear that, man. You would think they could open up to let you pull it home until this is over. This crap could take a while. Hang in there buddy. I haven’t been able to work on mine for the past month as my wife took command and we reworked all our bannisters (115 spindles and 60...
