Also nothing has been done to the inside except all the old paint has been stripped and sanded off.

I now have my project boat turned over,the bottom fiberglassing is done and painted. Sides are also painted. Want to paint the interior. That's cool way of putting together your design before the build. I have one suggestion and it is to add guide on bunks to the side of your trailer. The Zip is a very flat bottom boat and hard to drive on the trailer and make it stray centered, if it is floating at all. So I added a set of guide on ...

Looks great. Sanding is a pain, but when done it will look great painted.
What color are you looking at for the bottom.
Will your boat be on a trailer or sit in the water.

Here is a little tip that I saw on youtube and then I tried it and it worked great, What the guy did in the video was to lay the fiberglass cloth on to the boat, then get where you wanted it and then start smoothing it out on the boat with his hand. Ps a friend of mine was getting rid of some merc parts and motors.
My son bought a complete 44 cubic in. 300 for 200 dollars ,I gat a 400 power head and lower unit just like my 61 400 for 100.

Bil and Gd when you used the Interlux paint on the bottom of your boats were the bottom's Fiberglassed.
I used West System on mine.
