I am ready to glue the plywood sides to the chines and sheers. I have been using epoxy w/hardener with a peanut butter consistency. But, it still sags and could get pretty messes. I have seen epoxy and hardener in a caulk tube that says no sag, but it is pretty expensive. Lastly, there is 3m 5200. Any suggestions on what has worked for all of you?

What are you using to thicken? If you add enough thickener it won't sag.

I like the caulk tubes. Yes, they aren't cheap. Get an extra tip or two. Tubes come with a reusable cap. Throw away the tip and get another. It's fast you can put it exactly where you want to work. Spread the bead with stir stick.

I bought powerful glue for wood form Ritecoupons. It is quite expensive but result is best. P.S: don't forget to wear gloves while using glue, it may damage your skin.

System 3 Gel Magic is a great product for vertical or overhead bonding. The cartridge with mixing tip is quite a bit more expensive than buying in plastic containers...

I've had success minimizing the mess by taping the seams off like you would for painting - tape and a piece of brown paper - then the vast majority of any dripping/oozing epoxy runs out onto the tape and paper. Once it gels (stops dripping) I remove the tape/paper to avoid it being 'epoxied' to the surface -- not 100% perfect but sure minimizes the cleanup effort -- so for me its been a big net positive time tradeoff.

The construction adhesives is an alternative solution for they can successfully bond on many substrates. We’re recommending the usage of LIQUID NAILS® in Ultra Qwik Grip {LN-990} to adhering to porous surface & LIQUID NAILS® FUZE*IT® In the all surface construction Adhesive (LN-2000) to the most surfaces for getting vertical material intact.
