dock blocks

Post by stefaan »

Hello, I'm hoping to find anyone who has experience with docking a boat on dock blocks.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's a link to dock blocks: https://dock-blocks.com/
Here's a youtube video demonstrating the dock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_tnxvvNRdo

I'm asking because friends of mine own a house nearby my place near the river and have this kind of dock but don't own a boat and offered me to dock my boat on their dock blocks.
My boat is a fisherman, here's a gallery of my boat: https://boatbuilders.glen-l.com/fisherm ... nt-belgium

My concerns are that this kind of dock will scratch the hull of my boat.

Thanks for any advice!

Best,
Stefaan

Could be an issue on painted wood bottoms. Floating docks like that can be challenging walking on on windy or wavey days.

My hull is fiberglassed, not painted and the dock is located on a quiet river.
I guess I just have to try it out?
