Painting Plastic

I am thinking about painting my UTV. It is green right now and want to change it to red. I have googled painting plastic and found several options, but wondering if anyone on this forum has painted their UTV or ATV. How did you do it? How did it turn out?

One suggestions is to use Krylon Fusion, but I don't like the way that turned out on my chairs. I want a car finish when I am done.

I've used a product called Sem-Coat in the past with outstanding results. It was on vinyl upholstery and the color was changed from turquoise to beige. It lasted years and was still good when I sold the boat. No cracks, peeling or wear through. Amazing stuff. Got it a local auto paint store. The only downside was it had to be sprayed.
Recently I used the Fusion product on a flotation cushion and it's wearing off
