You know there is a lot to be said for deep v hulls. Notice how nicely it stayed on the roof of the truck without falling off.

That happened in Ontario, NY, very near me. One of my coworkers witnessed the accident on his way home from work. It was all over the news at the time. The road, which is quite busy, was closed for several hours. Happened in the early evening on a Saturday.

The pickup in the picture was cut off by another vehicle, who then proceeded to panic stop at a yellow light that had just turned.
The road is 55 MPH speed limit, so the yellow lights are quite long. The boat driver obviously wasn't expecting to stop.

Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the truck was totaled, and the boat did suffer minor damage. Amazing how strong that hull is.
The other vehicle was damaged quite badly as well. Not sure if it was totaled, but I assume so from seeing the pics on the news.

For the company that made that boat, they could use this as a advertisement about how well they design and build their boats.
