Well, the recovery starts. No miracles here. I'm still working on sanding the main deck. I bring home what I can work on here. I'm starting to go forward some.

I haven't tried it yet. I need to get the bad caulk out of the grooves first. A real mess.

It's not practical to bring the boat back home. As you know, our drive is steep and curvy. This is basically our rainy season and I can't work under cover here. Tell Sara, "Merry Christmas", for us.

Holy Crap! That thing will eat! it made short work of the hatch cover I'm working on. The only down side is that the handle heats up pretty bad. I can't find my small vac hose right now that might help cool it down.

I finally finished repairing the trailer. I got the fender light hooked back up yesterday.

Today, I hope to cut out and replace a few spots on the main deck. Price I pay for pushing to get it to the 2017 Gathering. :(

Well progress I think. I replaced 3 bad spots in the deck they looked pretty good. Until, I sanded though one of them. I going to try to hide it.

I got one coat of primer/sealer on the on the main front deck and one coat of topcoat

I trying two different products. On the advice of a friend, I'm trying Waterlox. I'm also using some Jamestown Lust. Both product are 1-part and go on right from the can. I can no longer use 2-part.

The Lust product looks good. Some of these newer polyurethane blends are really doing ok. I've used the one part Interlux polys and had good results on my kayaks and they don't ever get treated nicely.

The first round I used Pettit High Build. I think it reacted the Sika 291 that I used, should have been 295. I couldn't get 3M4000UV in black.

I finally have the main deck re-varnished! what a PITA! Now I have to touchup paint clean and re-caulk. It was more fun the first time.
