dherrema, when are you going to start your building thread. I would like to see how someone else goes about this build. Hopefully you won't have the go like hell and fix it later mentality that I have.

It prolly would have if you could have afforded to put several coats of epoxy. Lol that would get very spensive on that monster! Lol

I'm 13 gallons in and still didn't flip it yet. Expensive is a understatement.

Well the holidays where very busy, then it got cold. My poor woodstove can barely keep the garage at 40 degrees. I did finish fairing the skeg and drilling the shaft hole.

This is a design that I really like! It doesn't meet my current needs. But, IT'S on my list.

Thats a nice build. Did you say you are powering with a BBC?

I'm with you ken, CUMINS!!! :-)

I do love my 454 BBC though. When you put her in gear she just grunts and the stern drops down, like say'n, "lets GO!" lol I remember this ole boy had a 40' laffete skiff with a 3208 Cat in it, turbo charged and after cooled. When he would put it in gear it would just squat so much. I mean that wheel would just bite!! Love that feel'n!!! hehehe

This is a great build weller, that skeg looks as though it would break ice. I can't wait to see it once it's flipped. Keep up the good work.

Cheers

Thanks guys. Kens any motor that I can get a good deal on is what's going in. I have been looking at the 6.0 and the 8.1 but whatever fits my price range when it's time is what i'll get.

Since you got the strut mounted, what diameter prop can you swing??
