Very nice. A shame your heading to storage. You seem so close it looks like you could launch it shortly.

I'm way too old for this kind of language, but OMG what a great looking boat!

Very nice!

The construction and finish is first rate, and the design choices you made are equally astute. I love your use of lines with the embellishments on the sides with SS bands and bumper rails.

I held up a sheet of paper to simulate the water line. She's going to look great on the water!

Great work!

Update.

Well, to make a long story short, finishing my boat took a long hiatus while I built a new home (an advanced "Passive House"- see phius.org) in Pennsylvania for my wife and I. I am the general contractor and I've been very hands on, so the boat went into storage before its maiden voyage. The house is finished and we've moved in.

Now my new 2700 sq. ft. detached workshop is nearing completion, and I agreed with my brother Eric that we'd attend the G11 gathering together as motivation to get the boat out of storage, finished and launched. I should have the boat in my new shop space tomorrow!

The trick will be to remember where I left off and how to finish things up. Mostly I need to mount the outboard on the boat, reassemble a few things on the motor, connect the outboard (fuel, steering, etc.), add registration numbers and test it all out.

I sort of forgot to post pics of the launch in 2017, so here are a few. I live in Pennsylvania now, and these pics are from Blue Marsh Lake.

Awesome boat. It's always interesting to see everyone's unique takes on the Malahini. No two are exactly the same.

Beautiful boat. I hope your old Merc runs better than mine did.
