Moving along now, stained the outer boards almost ready to apply epoxy. Vinyl is on the way.

Very nice! It’s good to see the other malahinis. It gives me more ideas or confirms that my thoughts will work

Haven't posted in awhile, the boat is finished except for a couple small details. I am still waiting on NJ DMV to open so I can get registered. We cant wait to get it on the water. Thanks to everyone for your help, and thanks to everyone before me, without this forum it would probably not have happened.

Very nice. Where do you plan on launching her? I'd like to know how it is dealing with NJ DMV, and what you had to do to get a HIN.

I plan on launching in Cape May about 4 miles from me. As far as the DMV they are not open yet they keep on pushing the opening date forward. And when they do open they are splitting the duties between them so no offices in my area will be doing registrations closest is 1 hour away! I have my receipts, and a bill of sale for the trailer along with a weight receipt. I think you need to go to the dmv with these things, then they will give you a form to have a hull inspection done by the state police, then you have to go back with the completed form to finish the process.

Have fun when you do get to launch. I was hoping it would be nearer to me so I could come watch, but Cape May is almost three hrs from me.
