Questin Key West again...

Post by gostap » Sun Jan 20, 2019 2:40 am

Hi;
I am building the Key West and power the boat with a sb Chevy "350 about 270hp.
I have a velvet drive 73C with 1:1 reduction. I am a bit afraid this reduction might be wrong? maybe it should be 1:5? I cant find any specification for VD 73C but i think its mostly used with diesel engine? Do you think Key West will work with 1:1? I am not so interested in top speed, more important the boat will work with lot of friends aboard :)

1:1 is the most common used here. You have plenty of power. I don't know the details of the 73C. Mostly see people using the 71C.
