Spent the last two years chipping away at a bare hull and console. Launched yesterday and I'm super stoked on the results. So much fun, so rewarding.
I look forward to customizing even more. I'll write up some of the changes I made at a later date and I'll post process photos in the gallery. I just wanted to share because I have enjoyed, (and it's super helpful) checking out all the boats on this site as I worked on mine. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks everyone,
nkalson

We're still happily married, but now she just wants "the dam boat out of the garage."

Rainboat looks nice. Have you had her out in the ocean and how does she handle in the swell? Are you past the break-in of the outboard to where you can open her up and are you happy with her up on plane? Color looks like a Honda is that what you bought, what HP and why? Thank you for sharing your pictures and experience. Leland

I haven't had her out in the ocean yet. Just a short cruise around Humboldt Bay. Still in the first few hours of breaking in the Honda 50. I chose the fifty primarily because of Glen-L recommendations, seeing what others are running on Console Skiffs and cost. I think the 60 is only 25 pounds heavier and another grand. I'll let you know how the 50 works.
Thanks
Neil

My brother filmed the launch and first cruise.

Nice video Neil. I can see the happiness, excitement and pride in you and your boat in the kids and grown-ups on your launch day. Congrats. Leland

Really nice. I like that paint job. I'm a big fan of color on boats.

Thanks! We have a lot of grey days in NorCal so I wanted something to brighten it up. Petit Bikini Blue hull with rattle can stripes. Inside is Amerguard and Amershield with EZ deck non skid.
