I've been looking to build a17' flat bottom river boat for Michigan rivers. I want to put my 115hp Etec with a jet pump on it. I've ben looking at the Rogue Runner but I want at least a 66" bottom. I've read many times not to change plans except for the length. The Rogue Runner plans call for a 60" bottom. So what are some thoughts on making it a little wider. Most aluminum jets sleds made here are between 66" and 72" bottoms.
Having built a stich and glue drift boat I also would like to build this boat stich and glue. The plans call for framing members. Having never built on framing members can I convert to stich and glue?
Thanks
