Amigo

Dinghies, day sailers, world cruisers. Many small sailboats make ideal rowboats or low-speed power boats.

Amigo

Post by Winkali »

G’day everyone from Brisbane Australia. I’m looking for info about the Amigo. I like the lines but I’m interested in finding out how she sails. I know she won’t point as high as a modern keel boat but does she have the ability to beat off a lee shore? Most of my sailing will be up and down the east coast of Oz. Also in terms of building I was thinking of strip planking followed by 2 layers of 3to4mm veneer at 45degrees to the keel followed by a layer of glass or dynel.
I would appreciate any thoughts
