Negative bus bars

Post by DrBryanJ »

I am planning on using a 12 circuit fuse box like this https://newwiremarine.com/product/12-ck ... lock-5026/ somewhere near the dash. Negatives run back to built in bus bar. For electrical items that are in the aft of the boat, like anchor light and bilge blowers. Do their negatives have to return all the way forward to the fuse box bus bar or can I have a negative bus in the stern near where my battery is located
Sorry about so many electrical questions. Electric systems are a mystery to me.

You have a neg. from the battery to the fuse box. A Neg bus bar that goes to the same battery Neg will be ok.

Thanks for the reply Bill. So, I will use a neg bus in the stern.
