So now past three years but only 350 hours expended here I am ready to finish the hull. Sanded with 120 grit 10 hours plus.
150 grit 8 hours and 220 grit 6 plus hours.

I also had a lapse in judgement and used a darker color board (same batch) in a couple different places on the boat as you can see in the next two pics.
I am hoping to blend with stain or dye. I have viewed youtube where they were bleaching but I will not risk that!
By the way both sides are symmetrical in color! And thankfully in shape too

Lovely job! I wouldn't worry about the colour variances...it is after all a wood boat, and the stain will certainly help.

Thanks Guys,
I Just looked at my calendar and my running total of hours. Somewhere I lost about 100 hours
Guess I thought I was more efficient than I really am. So my total so far is 444 hours to this point.
Just ordered a rudder, strut, tiller arm, some brackets, stuffing boxes and 14 yards of 50 inch 7 ounce fiberglass cloth.
Hope to drill holes and finish the hull this summer.

Thank you everyone!
Gayle I think your partial to my dog! I don't know what I was searching but had to do with Glen L and came across a picture taken some
time ago and wouldn't you know there was a beautiful duo and one was a "chocolate" lab

Roberta thank you,

Colored MaideN Montana......not as red as the camera depicts but it is a rich color brown, maroon, red and some purple. To me it is pretty cool. Even though most of my friends said to go natural, I went against their advice. :?
