Getting ready to fiberglass! How much epoxy?

Post by Mark-NJ »

Simple question....but I can't get a handle on the answer:

How much epoxy is needed to do the fiberglassing of the hull & transom?

The build is a 16' GL "Ski-Tow".

I've been told everything from 1 gallon to 4 gallons. With epoxy costing as much as it does, I'd like to make just one purchase of an appropriate amount.

Any feedback from those that have done this size boat would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks...

Buy 1 gal. that will get the glass down and probably at least one fill coat.
