I'm planning to try to get away from B'ham. by about 10 am. 160 miles about 3 hours with stops. I hope we can get the first 2 hours of break-in done. A few hours on Thursday. And be close to the 10 hours on the trip back from Chattanooga. I may need someone to take it out while I take a nap!

Craig and I arrived about an hour ago and all looks good. Docks are in nice shape and the place looks cleaner than past years. Our cabin was ready when we arrived and that also was better than past years. Tony seems to have a handle on things here. If anyone needs me to do anything, let me know.

I think we have 60 or 70 feet of canopies on the dock. If we have to, we can get the meeting room, I think that is where we are Thursday night. This group will make it work!

I recently took a job in Guntersville Al as in the last 8 weeks, i drove up to Hales Bar Marina this past weekend as i am only 75 miles below there and the place looked a mess with several sunken boats around the marina. I am on call this coming weekend but am gonna try to sneak up that way if i dont get called out to work Saturday evening.

Brian

We started at Lake Guntersville State park. But, they would not do anything too help our Gathering. The last year that we went there, we were told there was a wedding party that booked out all of the lodging. OK, RIGHT. We cleaned the place up better than we found it! They still kept the deposit.

Please, come up this weekend. HB does meet our needs and they are pretty damn good to us.

Brian, yes... I know the abandoned & sunken boats and hulls you're referring to. It's not Hilton Head... sure. However, despite it looking a little rough around the edges, I find the place warm, welcoming and relaxing. So, I hope you'll give it a chance. If you can hitch a ride with someone for the Lunch Run / River Run to Chattanooga, I believe you'll be very happy you did. Hope to see you there.

By the way, everyone... the shirts came in today, and they look great!

My daughter just finished helping me fold and separate them. I'm planning to bring the boat & the shirts up Friday morning after I drop the kids off at school.
