Re: Heaters
I've used a lot of plastic! But, I need both of these doors daily.

Re: Heaters
"Tis the season! (Unless you live down under!). This is my choice. We have natural gas. NG is the cheapest with electric second. Propane comes in a distant 3rd. Then kerosene. I have all.
I think the thing with NG is to never let it get behind. I have 3 outside walls. Two are poured concrete and one is barely insulated. The fourth wall and ceiling are against living space of our house. Floor is concrete. NG heats air, not stuff. If all that concrete gets cold it takes a long time for 70* air the warm it up. I know we don't have other's heating issues. So far this year we have only been down to 23*. Lows of 35* are more common.

Re: Heaters
Put propane vented fireplace in house and gave blaze king away.Cutting and burning wood bothers me now after covid and the shots.Get out of breath too easy.Got electric heat in the corners so some heat.Got -50 for 10 days last year,so got to use kitty-cat toilet until septic line thawed out.Hope that global warming keeps going on.
Might have to invest in a few "Hotdog"heaters

Re: Heaters
I see ducts running overhead, can you just cut a couple of holes and screw on a couple registers? Open as necessary and Let the furnace do the work.

Re: Heaters
get one of those Mini-split heat pumps for the garage itself,,,,then you got heat and air, and you just turn it on when you want to. no effect on the whole house HVAC
Oak..........the juice ain't worth the squeeze

Re: Heaters
Chug: I have a Hot Dawg heater. LOVE it! I run it all winter at about 55 degrees. I'm a little south of you (near twin cities) bit it's similar weather and I have no trouble keeping my 30x40 shop warm. I highly recommend buying one. Nothing like walking into a warm shop in the winter!
