1" Brass Rudder Port Stuffing Box

These cast brass packing gland stuffing boxes are the most common type used. The flax packing around the shaft is held in place by the threaded gland cap, locked with a jam nut. Can be replaced in position, without removing the tiller arm. In emergency the packing can be temporarily replaced with string or strips of T-shirt.
