a 25' trailerable deep vee fly bridge cruiser

The KONA KAI is a real sportfisher and it's trailerable! No need for expensive moorings and limited fishing grounds. Just hitch up to the family auto and go where the big ones are biting. The KONA KAI has all the capability of sport fishing boats much larger. First, the flying bridge makes handling and fish finding easy. Second, the large self-draining cockpit is flush; no tripping around engine boxes here. Third, the hull is a real full length deep vee with a minimum 18 degree deadrise right at the transom and has lift strakes to get up on a plane quickly, cut resistance, and keep spray down. To compliment these features, there's 80 gallons of fuel and 20 gallons of fresh water which makes the KONA KAI truly a long range craft capable of going out where the action is. So you won't have to worry about coming back the same day, there's a truly livable cabin. It sleeps three people honestly (four in a pinch!) and has a fully enclosed head. The galley is complete with lots of storage space.

The KONA KAI is easy to build and recommended for the experienced amateur. This is a boat you'll be proud of, and you'll save a bundle by doing it yourself.
