ONE OF OUR NEWEST DESIGNS!

The AMP EATER features an efficient hull form that moves through the water with minimal wake. With the whisper quiet, environmentally friendly, electric motor propulsion system, the hull slicing through the water is almost the only sound.

You sit in a people friendly cockpit with the helms person in command in the aft seat handling the boat with a fore and aft moving tiller. The hull is very responsive; a slight movement of the tiller controls the rudder positively making turning in tight quarters quick and easy. Speed is varied by turning a small dial, while forward, neutral or reverse is operated through a fingertip actuated toggle switch. Operating the electric boat is about as easy as flicking a switch to turn on a light.

A 1/2 hp DC electric motor running on 24 volts provides a speed of about 5 1/2 mph. At cruising speed, the boat will run 8-10 hours before battery recharging is necessary. The motor drives the propeller shaft through two vee belts, reducing the propeller rpm to an efficient level.

Special EV (electric vehicle) batteries drive the motor, and provide long range and durability. Four of these six volt EV batteries connected in series provide the 24 volts required.

The AMP EATER hull is built by the Stitch-N-Glue method with patterns furnished for virtually every contoured part of the hull. Each patterned part was drawn directly from the one used in building the prototype to assure accuracy. The instructions are based on the actual building of the boat using the running commentary and video as guides to describe the exact building procedures. The results, a complete plan and pattern package specially prepared and packaged to make building your AMP EATER easier and quicker. Plus through judicious planning and adjustments, the entire hull can be built from four sheets of 1/4" x 4' x 8' plywood.

COMPLETE PLANS include FULL SIZE PATTERNS for side and bottom planking, transom, form, breasthook, skeg, bulkheads, deck and cowl beams, thrust blocking, rudder base, floorboard, tiller, and carling. Includes instructions, Bill of Materials, Plywood Layouts, Fastening and Laminate Schedules, and Stitch-N-Glue Manual.

See specs tab above for more details.

"Can I do it?" Yes you can. If this guy who had only minimal wood working skills can do it, so can you. I built practically the entire hull using only a jig saw, a hand drill, a small block plane, sandpaper a pair of pliers and a circular saw. Just follow the instructions!" - Dave Fannon, Ohio
